Sam Nixon is an English singer and television presenter who gained fame as a contestant on the second series of Pop Idol in 2003, finishing third. Following the show, he formed the duo Sam & Mark with fellow contestant Mark Rhodes; their cover of "With a Little Help from My Friends" reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. Transitioning to television presenting, Sam co-hosted several children's programs, including Top of the Pops Reloaded, TMi, and the BAFTA-winning Sam & Mark's Big Friday Wind-Up.
