James “Jimmy” Tarbuck is an English comedian best known for hosting Sunday Night at the London Palladium in the mid-1960s, a role that made him one of Britain’s most recognisable entertainers. He later fronted a wide range of ITV quiz shows throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s, including Winner Takes All, Tarby’s Frame Game and Full Swing. Tarbuck was also a regular choice to host major British variety shows such as Live from the Palladium and Live from Her Majesty’s.
